I love coming in here. Since my work moved to the south side of Grand Rapids, it's been a while since I've been in, but the food and the atmosphere have not changed at all! Might go to here's the Chicago style euro. Yum! It still amazes me that they can fit so many toppings in there in rolling up so nice and tight. The Mediterranean fries turned me on to adding pepper to my fries all the time; and the Kurdish tea is really good. There's not much in the way of parking spots here, but the closed down gas station next door serves the purpose well. This a really nice little gem for Grand Rapids west side.

Food was amazing! We both had gyros and loved the taste, and toppings! The really great thing about this place is the atmosphere though. The owners and employees all make your experience first rate and even offered my wife and I tea as we sat and talked after lunch. We drove from Lansing to try Chicago Style Gyro because of the outstanding reviews and we were definitely not disappointed! We will be going back soon!

I had been craving a Gyro and on a hot Friday we (me and my 2 kids) met my husband for lunch to check this place out. It was pretty busy (a good sign) despite it nearly being 2pm and the inside was sweltering hot (no ac) but it smelled good and was clean, bright and cheery. Not being real familiar with the menu we said we wanted 2 gyro combos, 1 plain hot dog, 1 order of chicken tenders and 2 extra drinks. $34.87. What? I had him add it up twice but with no itemized receipt I still have no idea how they reach the total it seemed really high. The food itself was OK, but it took a very long time my husband actually had to leave because his lunch hour was up. Our gyros were made in front of us and before adding toppings we actually saw them go back, grab the pan and take meat off my husbands (whoa, sorry you think he got too much but once its on I think it should stay) for what we paid you could have left the extra. I may go back the next time I have a craving but not with the family.

Had a pleasant experience at the restaurant. The staff wasn't too competent, but the owner is extremely friendly. I had the Chicago Gyro combo, the meat was tender and moist, as expected. I've never been to a Gyro place where you can actually choose all your ingredients like this one. The fries were pretty good. Definitely try the homemade Chai tea, it is exceptional. Odd part about the restaurant is the two sides, and difference of decor/seating for each side, making it obvious it used to be two separate places, so they could use more consistency.

Delicious! Great service, super friendly, The woman who runs it is super sweet & always asks about my family. The southside is amazing & so are the falafels. Been coming for years & will continue

I've been coming here for the past 3 years and have enjoyed every gyro I've ordered. Personal favorite is the Chicago Style with cucumber sauce and vegetables! The owner, Paki, is the sweetest lady I've met. She's great! :) Love Chicago Style! Well worth every dollar:)

This is by far the best gyro I have ever had! As others have noted, this is a hidden gem! The service is wonderful and the food is even better! I could eat here every day. I have tried multiple gyros spots but nothing compares to this. I would recommend the Chicago style gyro, and if you're feeling a little feisty, tell them you would like extra meat. They have a wide array of toppings which makes it all that much better.

When I am in the mood for a gyro, this is the first place I think of. It's so good in fact, that I will drive across town just to make a trip to this establishment. Food is fresh and made to order every time. They have your typical Coke products, but they also have homemade lemonade and tea. While I tend to stick to the gyro combo, the menu is quite expansive. They will have something for everyone's tastes. The owner is so friendly, and always makes sure you have a good experience during your visit.

Nastiest greasiest gyro you can imagine. Just terrible. If you're from Detroit like me, this is unacceptable. Even though Samis is ok, the real truth of the matter is that there are no good gyros in GR.

I love this place! The owners and their staff are very friendly. I recommend the Gyro special.

I had a gyro and fried mushrooms. Pretty much, awesome in itself is that it delivers to the ne side area which, if you get delivery often can seem very limited in options. The food was really pretty good, not over seasoned and good portions for not that much. The only reason I haven't been back yet is that I found it to be very greasy and heavy which is something you really have to be in the mood for. I prefer the place in East town better.

Best value out of all the GR Gyro shops. We now live in Lansing and always try to Get Chicago Gyro when in town. Service is good. and they are always generous with their serving amounts. The Gyros are consistent and always have fresh veggies. You can go and stay all day, service is very friendly.

Shouting from the Mountain Top.. This place is the best place ever! Chicago Gyro platter was just delish! The people, service and food combine to make a most pleasurable adventure. Parking is tricky, the place is not fancy but immaculately kept, and there are tables, couches etc. Seats 40 ish. Prepare to be amazed.

People need to stop just driving by and go in for some food! The Gyros are fresh and delicious, the Falafel is awesome, and don't get me started on the Ice Tea! They also have burgers, hot dogs, kabobs, and homemade lemonade. It's such an inconspicuous little place that you probably drive by every day without a second glance, but you are definitely missing out. The parking sucks but you will not be disappointed that you made an effort to go in. Make sure you try the Baklava too! It's the best I have ever had.

This place is awesome. I've had gyro's all across the US, a few in Canada, and a few in Sydney Australia.. this place totally takes the cake. If this place was in a more popular location, everyone would know about it. Come here if you want one of best gyro's and customer service you'll receive in all of Grand Rapids!

Got the Gyro special with an upgrade to Greek fries and a Kurdish ice tea. The Greek fries were amazing. I got them with tomato, onion, feta, Giardiniera (a must on everything!), and salt and pepper. I got everything on my Gyro and it was great. The Kurdish ice tea was nice since I don't like soda. Overall I loved this place and will return on a regular basis. Great job!

Best gyros in Grand Rapids-- hands down, no question. I can't tell you how many times I've simply just drove past this place. I made an assumption that because it looks like a hole-in-the-wall that it didn't deserve my stopping in. I can not convey to you how wrong I was. FOOD: Best gyro in this city. I have to say I'm very picky when it comes to gyros and Greek food in general. I had an original Gyro (lamb/beef) with cucumber sauce and onions. Freaking perfect. Soft, flavorful pita bread. Wonderfully seasoned NON-greasy gyro meat. Best cucumber sauce I've had in GR. Very well priced. Lunch special was gyro/large drink/fries for $6.99 SERVICE: To-the-point yet helpful folks behind the counter. A very friendly older gentleman (I assume the owner) came out and talked with us. Without my asking he made me a to-go cup of Kurdish tea and asked me to taste it. This tea is SO GOOD! Very chai-esque. He wanted me to take it home and enjoy it :) SO nice to be greeted by local business owners like this. ATMOSPHERE: Honestly, this place does not look like anything special from the outside. It's very easy to just walk by without noticing it. Please don't though-- do yourself a favor and stop in some time. Inside is SO different! Very nice sunshine-filled dining space with relaxing decor. A side-room has different tables and a couch. Very welcoming. I'll be coming back here again and again.

Went here because of all of the incredible reviews. First thing, the owner was incredibly nice, and came to talk to us as soon as we had our food, since he knew that we had never been there before. He then brought us Kurdish tea, without charge, so that we could try it. I have never had such good service from a Greek (or less formal) restaurant. As for the food, the gyro meat was really tender and delicious, but the pita bread, had just been pulled out of the fridge, and was not heated, so the sandwich cooled off a little quick. Next time, I know to ask if they can heat my bread, but otherwise, the service made up for that. Everyone should try!

I like how their website says that they deliver within a 3 mile radius and they refused delivery to me. I'm 1.8 miles away. Tried it anyway and it was terrible, anything but Chicago style. I lived in Chi and I know better.

They should call this place "Grand Rapids Style Gyros" greasy as hell, they have it set up like a subway with 10+ different toppings, AND they use Gordon Food Service style cardboard pita bread ....The owners should know better...they're from Chicago, but GR foodies don't know any better. Way over priced "food" Go to the Fleetwood on 44th street. if you want a really good Gyro. The tea from the Mrs. Is fantastic.

This business is a good reminder that not all Tzatziki is created equally. In other words, these folks are the real deal, they know what they are doing. Additionally, they just couldn't have been more pleasent. Props for the tasty glass of Chai tea they brought to everyone's table the day I visited. Nice people, good food.

A new favorite in town. You get a giant gyro packed full of whatever you like. The owner is very friendly and the prices aren't too bad. I would recommend this to anyone as you leave full and probably with some leftover!

Amazing gyros, and they wrap the end so well it never falls apart while eating.

The gyro was reasonable. I also ordered a chicken dinner, it had no flavor at all. 2 stars.
